For If The Flies
For if the Flies is not one piece, but an infinite number of pieces awaiting their premiere.
The performance creates and develops itself anew with each show, ultimately becoming personalized and unique in every presentation. It is born from the collaboration between artists, audience, and what unfolds in the moment.
It consists of a series of scenes that may or may not occur, varying in their order, roles, duration, soundscape…
FUNCIONAMIENTO
Prior to the start, the audience will collectively choose one of the titles upon which the piece for that performance will be based. In addition, each member will have drawn a card at random indicating the individual role they will hold during the show — granting them the opportunity to make decisions that affect the scene and that may alter the entire course of what is about to unfold.
In this way, each presentation of For if the Flies tells a unique story built upon different concepts drawn from the imagination of the audience.
For if the Flies aims to bring the concept of instantaneous composition and improvisation closer to the audience — especially those unfamiliar with how this method works. The goal is for them to understand the rules of the game behind what is being created, making them accomplices in what unfolds and empowering them to make artistic decisions they may have never taken before.
