Gaia Magrané Garde

Gaia is a Catalan dancer, choreographer, and performer, born and currently living in Girona. The artist began his journey in movement with urban dance before receiving professional training in contemporary dance at schools such as Area, in Barcelona, and La Faktoria Choreographic Center in Pamplona.

He is currently a member of the multidisciplinary collective La Pulposa, and a member of the collective La Verema. He also acts as an organizer of the festival l’Arreplegada, in collaboration with L’animal a l’esquena in Celrà.

To date, Gaia has been part of the companies Merce & John, Les Irregulars, Agitart, Anna Arboix, Vanholzer, and La Mujer del Carnicero.

Gaia is a founding member of the collective that came before La Pulposa, called Impromptu, with which he directed and performed in projects such as For If The Flies and impromptuando.

In addition to his artistic projects, Gaia works as a dance teacher in secondary schools through the educational project in Empordà, called Mapa de Ball from Mercat de les Flors (Barcelona), as well as Ti@ ens veiem al teatre and Creart (Massanet de la Selva).

Since 2021, he has been studying Ayurvedic therapies at the Escuela Superior de Ayurveda de Madrid and the school VitaVeda.
Gaia is also a dedicated student of modern and traditional Kung Fu styles, practicing in the school “El petit drac entre la lluna i el mar” since 2020.
